Co-Founders


 

THINKSHEET, Inc. was founded by William Stahl and Dr. Roy Freedman in 1993 to use Dr. Freedman's software program, InduceIT, to model and visualize the highest levels of professional intelligence, such as Mr. Stahl's management of the West Point Privatization Project, a 1991 program to privatize West Point’s surplus assets to pay for a new $30 million science building. Dr. Freedman is a pioneer in artificial intelligence and financial technology. He was the primary editor of “Artificial Intelligence In The Capital Markets: State-Of-The Art Applications For Institutional Investors, Bankers & Traders” and the author of “An Introduction To Financial Technology”, a history of the development of financial technology.

  • WILLIAM STAHL, CEO, CO-FOUNDER & CHIEF QUALITATIVE SCIENTIST

    Mr. Stahl's expertise includes finance, law, real estate development, privatization and software programming. Mr. Stahl was a founder of Privatization International, Inc., a D.C.- based company specializing in public/private partnerships, a real estate investment banker with E. F. Hutton in New York, and a partner in Deutsch, Kerrigan, and Stiles, a New Orleans law firm. Mr. Stahl has co-authored two articles on artificial intelligence with Dr. Freedman. Mr. Stahl has a B.A. from Dartmouth College and an L.L.B. from Tulane School of Law.

  • DR. ROY FREEDMAN, CHIEF SCIENTIST & CO-FOUNDER

    Dr. Freedman is the leader in advanced technology in the capital market and was the principal architect of the Market Surveillance System for the New York Stock Exchange, the head of the Artificial Intelligence Group at Hazeltine, a US defense contractor. Dr. Freedman received a BS and MS in Mathematics, an MS in Electrical Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Mathematics, all from the Polytechnic. He is a professor of financial and risk engineering at NYU.

  • MARK BERNER, CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

    Mr. Berner is the company's Chief Operating Officer. He is also senior program officerfor McDonald Agape Foundation which financially supports distinguished Christian scholars at leading research universities, including Harvard, Yale, Columbia, and Emory as well as on special projects. He was Co-Founder and Managing Parter at SDG Resources an independent oil producer with operations in Texas and New Mexico. He is a graduate of Yale University, Villanova Law School and has a masters in philosophy and techology from Oxford University.

  • WILLIAM SHILAND, HEAD OF QUALITATIVE EVENTS AND RESEARCH

    Mr. Shiland is Director of Research & Investments for Rexford Management(a/k/a Marcus Schloss & Co). specializing in companies undergoing significant corporate events, such as mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and spin-offs. Also experienced with activist situations, deep value names and distressed credits. Mr. Shiland is a graduate of Reed College, psychology major, and Phi Beta Kappa; and Cornell Law School and Senior Editor of Cornell International Law Journal

  • ROBERT PHELPS, EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

    Mr. Phelps, Editor-In-Chief, focusing on the most importatn drivers of critical decisions. The Drivers are often Qualitative because the Quantitative Factors are already efficiently modeled. Mr. Phelps has a BS from Tulane University and an LLB from Tulane University School of Law.

  • CHARLES WOODWORTH, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

    Mr. Woodworth is a Managing General Partner of SCG Madison Co. LLC, an investment advisory firm. He was a senior vice president at both Banc of America Securities and Kidder Peabody where he was also the Group Leader in the Private Client Division. Mr. Woodworth spent 4 years in Naval Intelligence and two years at George Washington Law School. Mr. Woodworth is a graduate of Dartmouth College.

  • BRENDAN O'SULLIVAN

    Mr. O'Sullivan leads our sales and marketing program. He has extensive experience taking innovative companies from emergence and high growth to mergers and acquisitions and IPO. He is a senior strategic sales executive, healthcare & life sciences, at ServiceNow --- and previously a senior sales executive at Salesforce, specializing in Tableau. Mr. O'Sullivan is a graduate of Dartmouth College.

  • PJ HALAS

    Mr. Halas is the president of Redemption Medical Services, a healthcare coding and billing company specializing in pediatric and primary care physicial services -- a company that is part of MBF Healthcare Partners, a premier private equity company. He was previously a database engineer at Asymmetry. Mr. O'Halas is a graduate of Dartmouth College.

  • MICHAEL TAVIS

    Mr. Tavis is the Founding Partner of MBicycle and EnCata USA and Managing Partner at Belitsoft USA. His international career including roles as investment banker, private equity fund manager and founder/entrepreneur. He is USA partner of full-stack European software development companies with 500+ programmers. Mr. Tavis is a graduate of Darmtouth College and has master degrees in Public Administration and International Relations/Economics from Princeton University.


  • E. COE KERR III

    Mr.Kerr is the Co-founder of the Upland Group, a Portfolio Management Group at Morgan Stanley. He was formerly a senior managing director and CEO of Carret Asset Management, a portfolio manager at H.G. Wellington and a director of research at Tucker Anthony. Mr. Kerr is a graduate of Boston University.


  • WILLIAM T. NOLAN

    Mr. Nolan is the founder of Devonshire Holdings, Inc., a corporate financial advisory company. He is a seasoned investment banker and CEO whose career spans a 35-year period in corporate finance, capital markets, and restructurings. He has a B.A. from Tulane University and an M.B.A from Harvard Business School.

  • HENRI KALAJIAN

    Mr.Kalajian advises THINKSHEEET on the development of our Workflow Apps. He has held senior positions managing workflow applications for Thomson Reuters, BlackRock, and JP Morgan Chase. He has an MS in Computer Science/Mathematics from Pace University and an MS in Technology Management from Stevens Institute of Technology.

  • JOHN GOLDEN

    . Mr. Golden is an MBA and MIA candidate at Columbia Business School and Columbia School of International and Public Affairs. He has experience in team leadership and product management in technology and cloud computing at IBM. Prior to graduate school, he served 5 years on active duty as a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy.Mr. Golden is a graduate of Dartmouth College
